This vid makes me so happy -- it's so joyous and celebratory.
I love the pacing of your narrative, from the hope and excitement of wanting to leave the safety of the known and go try something new, to the exhilaration of making it to that new place and finding the dream is real, there's an entire field full of women playing ball (that reveal, on the rising music & lyrics, is just gorgeous), and suddenly not only are they able to take their shot but they've won, they did it, they achieved their dream (and fireworks! because go them!), then the gentle slide down into the workaday realization that this is their life now; they've actually done what they set out to do, and now they travel around on a bus, and share quarters, and go dancing together, and sing together, and support each other, with their hands rising in the air together as a team (another truly gorgeous moment, those hands on that strum as they settle into this new life of theirs).
And that new life leads to their older selves, still in love with baseball, still tapping that plate (so perfectly on the beat <3); it's not just memories as the opening implies, it's who they became. Even after all those years, the baseball diamond is still their home.
