Lyrics
I can't find enough pots and pans
let alone knives in my kitchen
to keep you cooking

I can't find enough love in my heart
let alone in my bones
to keep you standing

ain't enough salt in the ocean
that cares enough to keep you floating
there ain't a drop left in my tank
to move move move your dead weight

I ain't joking

you're so good
I ain't joking when I said
you're so good

I can't find enough pots and pans
let alone knives in my kitchen
to keep you cooking
to keep you cooking

I can't find enough love in my heart
let alone in my bones
to keep you standing

these are the days we'll never forget
when the dawn dawns on you
these are the days we'll never forget
when the dawn dawns on you . . .

Loved the use of song, loved the cutting between moments of violence / moments of tenderness. Reminded me what a great, great show this was.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow! I haven't seen this show before, but I loved the build and suspense in this vid. Great editing and musicality.

*flails madly*

So, I've never seen Deadwood. But, if it is anything like as gritty, violent, dark, and character-driven as it looks here (western that is not made in the seventies!), I WANT ALL OF IT. Somebody please tell me it is exactly this awesome.

Also, that song choice was incredible. I am definitely going to look up that artist now.

I haven't seen this so I'm sure tons of stuff is going over my head, but this was so engaging to watch anyway. Such an amazing song choice and the mood and build of the whole thing is great!

I've never seen the show, but the relentlessness of this vid was rather mesmerizing, great combination of song and editing.

The combination of the intensity of the song (and what a great song choice) and the building intensity of the editing is just fantastic, vidder. This is great.

I can't believe how you kept the tension mounting, got everyone in there, and still kept things clear. The film effect at the very beginning was a nice touch too.

Wonderful video! Beautifully edited; it really pulled me in, and reminded me how compelling Deadwood is. Loved the song choice and the way you worked with it in terms of editing and pacing. Somehow it kept me feeling off kilter and yet pulled along for the ride.

I've never seen this show but this is a really cool vid. I like the way you timed the violence with the loud chords near the end of the song.

Golly, did I not comment when I first saw this? It's been running in my mind ever since. I didn't know the music, but that remorseless pounding is perfect for Deadwood. Now I hope you'll find something just as good for the second and third seasons!
