Dearest Festividder, this is wonderful! You totally got Asha as revolutionary and crusader against political and environmental destruction. Aṣa, as another revolutionary African woman, was a nice song choice and I liked that interrogation of the powers-that-be. I also really liked the lyric matches on things like water on "blood of the innocent" and the nuclear sign on river. And your use of the journey footage was lovely! Asha on the mountain top folding her wrap and setting out in the desert were particularly lovely and the end-oh the end always catches my heart. Thank you so so much Festvidder for making this for me; it is wonderful!! Now off to watch it a bunch more!

oh, wow, this is gorgeous. I was wondering how someone would vid this film, because it's so short, but you did a gorgeous job distilling it and finding moments that I never saw in the film. Gorgeous, gorgeous work, and a perfect song choice too.

Oh this is really beautiful. I love the song and the use of the in-movie texts/screens as reminders of the oppressive state, the reminders to take the dream suppressants. When she has a "dream," an independent goal, and escapes the underground that on her quest in the desert, it feels so much freer even though it becomes desperate, and all that works so well here. So glad to see a vid for this!

This is excellent! I love the visual to lyric matching. I've not seen the original film, though I've been trying to for ages, but I'm really excited that other people have and love it enough to request and make fanworks for it. (Plus your vid makes me think the film is every bit as excellent as the trailer suggested it would be).
