I watched this with metatxt and she said something really amazing that I totally agree with: we love this vid because TNG takes us back to our own childhoods when it was airing -- we feel like it raised us fannishly, like it took care of us, so this vid about caretaking nostalgically takes us back there. And we enjoyed that feeling. :)
