!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh, thank you so much! You have captured exactly what it is that I love about this film! I love how he deals with stuff that is HUGE STUFF for a six year old (teasing! parental disapproval!) but he's so brave and so true to himself. (AND HIS FACE. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO MEAN TO HIM. HOW CAN YOU BE MEAN TO THAT FACE?)

Unfortunately, I, uh, totally forgot that Festivids was going live today, and I was only reminded now as I was turning my computer off to go to bed, so even though I have much more to say, allllll the things to say, they are going to have to wait. I just want to say again how much I love this vid and how much I love your interpretation of this movie and his sexual (and fannish!) awakenings. The song you choose is superb and ... I think I saw someone else say something about how you handle "bursts of feeling" ... ahhh, yes, nicole_anell on the other post ... and that's such a beautiful way of putting it and so so true. I love particularly when he finds the magazine on the rack, how heightened his emotions and the song are at that point. I love the build up and how he clearly feels so strongly throughout, whether it's sadness or happiness. As a child so many things are intensified and that comes through beautifully here. Everything is so new!
