It's taken me a lot of rewatches to figure out just how much you've done in this vid, narratively and as meta on the series, and I'm sure there's a lot I'm still missing, but wow, I love what you have done with the Narnia series. Some things I really like: The layering of expectations, with the prophesied crowning at the beginning. The really, really effective way you lead from Edmund and Lucy falling down through scenes of running away to taking up arms instead. Peter and the sword, receiving it and finally passing it on and how that frames the kids' active involvement in violence. All of them drawing their weapons in turn and how that moves them out of a passive role. Susan and the bow: the cut from Susan practising her bow with Lucy, in the sunny campground to drawing it in action in the dark woods, and getting to see how her expression (how she) has changed, and then the increasing violence of the battle scenes that follow. I like seeing the scene where they meet Caspian for the first time as part of the battle sequence; it makes me think how much more violent the kids' instincts/reactions have become since their initial wonder the first time in Narnia. And then the river washing things clean, which is both violent in itself and also something that brings an end to the violence and battle scenes. The final image of the kids as adults looking up at the lamp post from their childhood again with that lack of recognition is haunting. Amazing, amazing storytelling, wow.

It's really hard to believe this is only 2 minutes long (wait, that sounds bad, that's not what I meant). You've managed to do so much, cover so much, the character progression, the struggle, the menace in the way the White Witch shows up dramatically and unexpectedly throughout, giving the impression of constant underlying danger throughout ongoing struggles, especially with the scene where the ice breaks & she nearly escapes again, and this vid has such an epic feel that it doesn't seem possible it could be so short. I am awed at how tight and neat your storytelling is, and also, gosh this vid is pretty.

So epic! I loved all the comparisons made, and how it was framed as different, but really very much the same in so many ways.

This is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm not sure I can say anything more coherent than frantic flailing. Such a great music choice! Such beautiful layering of images and scenes! I am so pleased to see this -- Narnia is My Fandom, and I always approach other fanworks with great trepidation, and this is absolutely lovely and wonderful and smart.

Wow, this is amazing, and so perfect. The narrative here, and the way you braid the two stories--which are so much the same--together is just gorgeous. Bravo.

This is gorgeous. It's both immense in its scope and very intimate in that you see the changes that come over the kids as they become legends.

*GLEES*

The circles and layers here are amazing, and I know I can only see a few of them. Susan in particular is getting me, with the growth she achieves and the way they all lose things along the way.

This was really well done and you've made me really appreciate how difficult it must have been for the kids - all of them, but really Peter, to turn over their beloved Narnia to Caspian.

Gorgeous work.

Oh, these children. They grow so much, and they take so much on, and they are ready for it, and yet not, and yet they are brave because they must be. Beautiful cutting and wonderful buildup to the end.

Wow! That was very cool. I didn't understand what was going on until about halfway through the first time and then it hit me and it was so exciting! Well done!
