Thanks! I am glad that you enjoyed all the layers - and got the Paget illustrations as well! I looked those up to try to find the Brett scenes that corresponded as I knew that they tried to recreate them. I really wanted the Speckled Band one but unfortunately they put the closing credits over the best view of Holmes beating the snake. I wish I could have included something from the Russian series as well, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. And I love the quiet moments, too, when they are just being Holmes and Watson.

Brainstorming about a published vid is probably the very last thing you want, but in case you would ever want to know this for a future project: New Russian Holmes has gorgeous close-ups of Watson composing the text of the stories. The voice-over is always the exact text of the stories (in Russian, of course, although it's clear that the script he's using is Latin). I'm unsure if any of the close-ups are quite legible enough let you see that yeah, that's the actual text of Scandal or Musgrave or whichever, but if you're trying to slide an easter egg reference to another adaptation into something, there's a possibility there.

But as I suggested in my first comment, I think this vid is lovely and rich as it is. Thank you for making it! *snags a download of it for myself*
