I'm glad you liked the vid. The film is gorgeous in the way only Bollywood can be, and it's worth it for the musical numbers alone. There is a darker side to the film though, which you've picked up on. I'm going to spoil for that below, if anyone wants the warning.

[SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS] The hero doesn't set her on fire, but the villian does. It's a reincarnation story, so he gets his comeuppance the next time around on the wheel of life. The fire itself is dramatic, but not gruesome. [END OF SPOILERS]

SHANTI!!!! She's beauty, she's grace. I am deeply enamored of this homage to her timeless elegance and her many, many, many amazing outfits. I may have already watched it twice.
