Oh REE! You probably don't know this, (well, you're anon, you could know this! *suspicious eyes*) but I have always loved this song and have always vaguely wanted it to be a vid. And here you have made it a vid for a character I love! I love, love the opening, with the bleakish landscapes and the other markers of place--the old cars, the clothesline, and oh, those statue kids on the slide. I really like all the kids throughout this--the nameless girl Ree sees when she tries to go meet the guy in charge, Gail and her baby, Ree teaching her siblings to shoot (and her sister trying to hide in the hay bales intercut with Ree and the military guy!!), Ree herself; they're ALL kids dealing with stuff they shouldn't have to. Which is a really interesting take on the movie. <3
