This is really sweet! I haven't seen the movie, but it's a different take than other vids I've seen. (Tim DeKay! Lookin' gorgeous. I buy him as a Jolene.) And I really like this cover of the song, it's more intimate.

I was a little hesitant to click on this, because I love this movie so totally unironically, but am so glad I took the chance. The acoustic cover version was an inspired choice for Pike POV.

You got everything here: poor Pike, sure he can't compete, and Henry, swept off his feet with the fireworks of Dean, and Dean, wanting so much to be in love with Henry if only he could -- and in the end, deliberately not taking Henry even though he could. ♥

Ha ha. I wouldn't call this a LKBV myself. It doesn't feel absurd enough. Female vocals and pronouns can be sincere-yet-lulzy, but the rawness of these particular vocals just make this seem like a straight up serious vid. Very emotionally affecting too.

I was actually really glad to get your comment and hear that the sincerity won out over the potential ridiculousness. I was nervous people would laugh at it rather than sympathize, so I thought it would be a good call to acknowledge the humor so that people might laugh with it should they feel that way, you know? Or possibly that doesn't make sense the way I just wrote it. But anyway, thanks!
