Lyrics
get out your measuring cups and we'll play a new game
come to the front of the class and we'll measure your brain
we'll give you a complex and we'll give it a name

get out your measuring sticks and we'll play a new game
can't have the cream when the crop and the cream are the same
liquid or gas no more than the glass will contain

so you talk about a hand of glory
a tale that's rather grim and gory
is it just another children's story
that's been de-clawed?
when the tales of brothers Grimm and Gorey
have been outlawed

I think they're gonna make you start over you don't want to start over
put your backpack on your shoulder be the good little soldier
take your places now
'cause we're all predisposed

measuring cups play a new game
front of the class measure your brain
give you a complex give it a name

put your backpack on your shoulder
be the good little soldier
it's no different when your older
you're predisposed
that's all for questions now
the case is closed!

Phenomenal! I can't put into words how wonderful this vid is. It's a perfect song for the film's story, and you've shown that so clearly, with such finesse.

Anonyvidder! I love the contrast between joy and constraint in this vid. The clip with "be a good little soldier" is perfect. Seeing it in a vid, Keating's expressions just work even more than they do in the movie.

Wonderful song choice, and a wonderful vid. I really liked how it highlighted the fact that Keating's methods are no less tyrannical and restrictive than the others', albeit in a different style.

I love everything about this vid, all the hope it has, and all the hope it doesn't have. <3

This is just great. I love the focus here, on what society demands of the boys, and the way the vid universalizes that. Beautifully done, really sensitive editing.

Oh man, this vid is amazing. When you put the first shot of Robin Williams over "and we'll give it a name" you had me hooked. I love, too, how you focus on all of the students, not just the main ones, and how you highlight the restrictiveness of the entire system. Probably my favorite Dead Poets Society vid that I've ever seen.

Oh wow. Just wow. This vid is not only beautifully cut but so SMART about this movie and these boys and everything about this movie that I love and the reason I have seen it a million times. Right in the heart and the gut and the brain. Well done.
