Oh, that matched up so well! Really well put together in pace and theme. All these moments - like, even down to how the hordes of zombies closing in look like a concert crowd, and how beer + a Winchester = a new way of showing love. (And then Shaun has to shoot his mom anyway. Wah.) Loved this.

PERFECT SHAUN VID IS PERFECT. Oh man, right from the beginning switching between the two mornings through to the bit with the different plan run-throughs to the zombies smashing through the windows on the cymbal crashes to Shaun and Ed on "this is our last dance", this is just so damn good and captures the tone of the film so brilliantly. LOVE.

I was skeptical, Festividder, I'm not gonna lie. Shaun of the Dead is a film I capital-L LOVE and not in a way that makes me want to watch all the vids -- quite the opposite. And I was not sure of the song choice.

But. But. But.

Oh. My. God.

First of all, you just fucking WON me with the intercutting on one of my favorite aspects of the film, the way that it called back to itself. And I'm like, okay, I want to see where this is going.

And it's like, as I am being swept up in the fact that you enjoyed and brought attention to the cleverness of the film, there's lyrics and they are the film. The film is the song, the song the film. And it's cute and it's funny and it's super-appropriate and I am so digging it.

And then, on top of *that*, building so imperceptibly that I do not even notice it as first, there is serious emotionality. Hardcore, amazing feels. With Shaun's mother, with Ed, with Liz (I had so many unexpected Liz feels here).

You rock Festividder. You. Rock.

WOAH. I have never seen this film, this vid was almost too gross and gory for me, but I am so glad I watched it, this was amazing. The tempo of everything was very high energy, and yet there was so much feeling and personal relationships shown along with all the action. The "pressure pressure pressure" sequence was brilliant, and I loved the slow turn on "these are the days". The build to the stand off and defense of the bar was smooth and once we got there it was EPIC. This vid was an amazing technical achievement, I love it.
