I just saw Cabin in the Woods for the first time last night so it's very cool to find that there are festivids vids made for it! The switching between the 5 friends and the control room was just as fucked up/funny as in the film. Very nice!

AMAZING. I love how you matched each change in the music to a new phase of the movie-- I wouldn't have thought you could actually retell the story in under 3 minutes and make it actually feel like it was deliberately *paced* and not just "here's the movie but FAST!!" But you totally did, this was amazing. Loved the back-and-forth between the control room and the kids, especially the quick blip of Bradley Whitford eating popcorn after Marty "dies". DELICIOUS. And the match of the clip of the RV going into the water and the bottles coming out of the cooler-- was that in the movie? I don't think I ever noticed it (if it was).

It was sort of in the movie? The bottles coming out actually matched with a shot of the heroine struggling underwater, as I recall. I just tweaked the match a bit for my own purposes.

I was lucky in that the movie had a lot of overhead in terms of asides and jokes and meta-commentary, which could easily be cut and often retold through visual terms.
