I love the epic feel of the music combined with the tight narrative focus. The timing of the fireworks. Donnie Yen's little cape swaying. The knife-y bits at the start and their faces toward the end. FIGHTS. I love it all.

I watched this earlier on our big TV and it looked SO FANTASTIC. This is a great music choice for the source, def. makes me want to check it out. I really love how the pace of the editing picks up around 0:58 with the fireworks. This vid is badass!

That was stunning. And not just visually: vidding action scenes so that they're intelligible is so damn difficult (or can be, depending on the source), and yet that was beautifully clear, and with a strong emotional throughline, as well. And your dramatic timing is magnificent.

Thank you! The actions scenes were beautifully shot, which helped. Someone very clever choreographed them for the camera, and the DOP was really on the ball, because the angles edited together well at lots of different points in the fights. It was the clip speed and timing I had to focus on most. I recommend the film if you love this kind of visual spectacle. It's gorgeous.
