Her smile at 3:11 may have killed me -- and it was worth it. I love all the different expressions she wears at the different "we should probably go dutch" refrains, and how you've captured so much of the media's tension around how to tell a consistent story about someone who doesn't fit neatly into any of their pre-designed boxes.

this is FANTASTIC. like first of all, kstew + dessa = BRILLIANCE. and the first verse with all those different roles and then finally HER when the chorus starts, what a great moment.

"hope the engine can take it" to "ennui and impatience": POSSIBLY the sexiest section of any vid ever made?? quite possibly

i LOVE the end sequence, dissolving back into fiction--first photoshoots, then movies and finally one last shot of the "real" person, who of course, to us, is ultimately a performance like all the others. i love this vid SO MUCH it's so clever and fun and great, thank you!!!

Admittedly I'm biased as a huge Dessa fan, but this is a really fantastic song choice. So much of the press tries to pigeonhole her as someone she's not and the song emphasizes how much she can't be defined. Really well done vid!
