Lyrics
Can't stop; addicted to the shin dig

Chop Top; he says I'm gonna win big

Choose not the life of imitation

Distant cousin to the reservation

Defunkt; the pistol that you pay for

This punk; the feeling that you stay for

In time I want to be your best friend

Eastside love is living on the westend

Knocked out but boy you better come to

Don't die, you know the truth as some do

Go write your message on the pavement

Burnin' so bright I wonder what the wave meant

White heat is screaming in the jungle

Complete the motion if you stumble

Go ask the dust for any answers

Come back strong with 50 belly dancers

The world I love

The tears I drop to be part of the wave can't stop

Ever wonder if it's all for you

The world I love

The trains I hop to be part of the wave can't stop

Come and tell me when it's time to

Wait a minute I'm passing out

Win or lose just like you

Far more shocking

Than anything I ever knew

How about you

10 more reasons

Why I need somebody new just like you

Far more shocking than anything I ever knew

Right on cue

Can't stop; addicted to the shin dig

Chop Top; he says I'm gonna win big

Choose not the life of imitation

Distant cousin to the reservation

Defunkt; the pistol that you pay for

This punk; the feeling that you stay for

In time I want to be your best friend

Eastside love is living on the westend

Knocked out but boy you better come to

Don't die, you know the truth is some do

Go write your message on the pavement

Burnin' so bright I wonder what the wave meant

Kick start the golden generator

Sweet talk but don't intimidate her

Can't stop the gods from engineering

Feel no need for any interfering

Your image in the dictionary

This life is more than ordinary

Can I get 2 maybe even 3 of these

Come from space

To teach you of the Pleiades

Can't stop the spirits when they need you

This life is more than just a read through

Oh, wow! I love the frenetic energy and the shift from a wild ride, to a tender one, to a violent one. I also really like your cutting at the end, pulling in the wider reach of the story.

You captured the frenetic energy and visual excitement of the film so well. Your edits and cutting as you told the story and interspersing text and other visual cues were all terrific.

Duuuude. Epic!

Brilliant choice of music. This is really bringing back what made us all so obsessed with this movie when it came out.

oh wow, this was really amazing. It's such a great match of song to movie - the energy and the frenetic colour. It made me remember how much I love the film. Also, the final line matched to that scene was genius.

I agree with everyone who's commented so far, including especially that first detailed commenter on livejournal hehe. ;) but um... just WOW. I love the "East side love is living on the west end" lyric you pulled out as your vid summary and how it really does "prove" just how right this song is for this fandom. One of my favorite little lyric matches in this was "Go write your message on the pavement"... but god every moment of this vid was SO carefully crafted, so well done, so amazing. I tried to vid this song once before so I know just how tricky it is - I mean, I gave up on my own vid, lmao. And I am just so impressed by this. Amazing, amazing job!!

OH MY GOD WHAT DID I JUST WATCH. The way you did the intro, the framing and introducing and leading into the main story, amazing, and even better how the text continued through the vid. I swear, I could write an essay on all the appearances of water in this vid, whether rain, pools, aquariums; I haven't seen the film in ages but I'm sure I missed a lot of the water significance in the film proper. All the intercutting of the dancing and the peaceful moments, the violence and love, so brilliant. I'm out of words, I just really enjoyed this.

I love this vid so so so so so much. The whole intro is INCREDIBLE, and I'm in love with how you worked in the text. And it's such an unexpected song that feels like it was written for it, though. Amaze.

Oh wow. This is so full of energy - and it captured the feel of the film *perfectly*. What a fantastic song choice too - you can tell that so much thought went into the placing of every clip. I'll need to watch this a lot more to get every nuance out of it.

I didn't know if this song could work for this source but WOW you made me believe and it was just completely perfectly put together. I love the energy of this (especially the intro!) with all the great motion as well the beautiful imagery for the romance scenes between them. And the end was so great with all the "dictionary" footage making the impact even deeper felt.

Fuck that was so good. Your editing is fantastic, I love how you used the prologue text and build the tension throughout. The pacing is brilliant and captures the film's energy perfectly. I never would have thought of this song myself, but man, it's perfect here. That last use of "knocked out but boy you better come to" is just brutal, I love it. Amazing job!
