omg this is SO GORGEOUS! Thank you so much, anon, I absolutely adore it! My heart was aching for Pi at the end there, and - this was unexpected - for the tiger as well. I love how you're true to the deep emotional arcs of the film - the isolation, the desperation, the discovery, the joy, the loss - while also showing me things I hadn't seen in it before. I know I'm going to watch this many many times. This vid is absolutely beautiful.

Oh gosh. This is....this is just so perfect. I may have cried. Argh. I'm going to need to watch it LOTS more times before I can be remotely coherent about it, but I love the heartfelt *intensity* of it, and the fantastic way you show what it's like for Pi to have discovered a tiger within him when he most needed it. The book (which is what it feels like you've vidded here, even more than the film) is so layered and interesting and open to interpretation, and you've managed to recreate that in this vid, in an achingly beautiful way. The song choice is inspired, but the way you've used it is even more so.

I thought I had watched every Festivid, and then I was scrolling down through the masterlist planning to re-watch some favourites and went... wait, I don't remember a Life of Pi vid! So I've watched it just now, and let me tell you, this was a fabulous way to find an unwatched vid. It's fantastic -- the movement, the song choice, the story, it's all wonderful. Good job.

This is just... wow. Visually stunning and evocative right from the beginning, to me this was basically a love story between the boy and the tiger (which may in fact be himself). This is just so coherent and magical and devastating.
