There were certain scenes I kept seeing and wanting to adapt into my original vid that just didn't quite work for it, but which wouldn't leave my head. The Chariots of Fire bit came to me late, but since then it had me giggling helplessly every time I rewatched it. There's just so, sooooo much morbidly hilarious physical humor in EoT to laugh at when one isn't caught up in the endless war... and a ton of it adapts really well to quotes from other movies to boot. Glad to hear it worked so well! :)

So I watched this expecting it to be all touching and insane the way the original vid was...AND THEN I DIED (in a good way). Watching this reminded me why I love vidding and what beautiful things you can create by using the most random music and the most random scenes. But when you put them together, they create something amazing.

The "I am invincible!" made me LOL and then the "I believe I can fly" segment oh my god. THAT WAS EFFING PERFECT. And then at 2 minutes in, I lost it again. And this reminded me of how much I love this film

THERE IS NOT ENOUGH LOVE TO GIVE THIS VID. I'm not sure what kind of karma I racked up to get such amazing Festivids this year, but I hope you know how insanely happy you made me and how much I am going to watch these over and over again and laugh and cry and proclaim my love to them. I kinda considered an absolutely ridiculous number of songs before adapting the Army of Me cover, and the more time I spent on it the more these completely random non sequitur moments kept popping into my head. (I'd originally had them placed at the very end of the primary vid but then decided, naaaah, better to have them off on their own.)

This is my first vid-exchange and I only started vidding last year, so I'm so incredibly flattered and pleased to read your response! Thanks for providing me with a canvas and a subject to create with. :)

Thanks! I've been having quite a bit of fun with it, particularly now that I have the hardware and software at hand to get reasonably decent quality vids put together.

Next possibly insane project: a Detective Miller/Julie Mao shipping vid (from The Expanse) set to an edit of Zack Hemsey's "Waiting Between Worlds"!
