This is a great vid. (I lack words at the moment and was gonna wait to reply, but I post now just in case I don't get around to a lengthier response later.)

The "wow"s on each moment a character becomes smitten with someone: :D :D :D

Great job with your editing, too: it's very good at making a movie that consists of a lot of long, slow, graceful takes keep up with a song that's very disjointed and punchy.

Yes, this, exactly. :D

I would never have thought of this song/artist for this movie, but this vid totally sells me on the combination. So charming!

Love the anachronistic song choice. And I love the editing style too, especially the editing on the toy sword fight.

Oo, I like the choppy editing style (and the song to suit it!) -- it's not something I'd think of for Austen at all, but it works.

This is fab! So sharply edited! You've really made this work well with an unusual song choice. I love it.

When I saw the title, I thought, Is that the Beck song? How will that go with *this*? But it does, beautifully, because of your editing choices. You've got the whole film in a microcosm here and MAN this is beautiful, capturing the way their lives and behavior are so circumscribed and the pressure on them. It also really captures their reduction in circumstances, their courtship disasters, their loving and supportive sisterhood -- and the hoped-for happy ending. Great job.

I love how your sharp editing contrasts and compares the many relationships in the film. It's a stylistic choice that grounds everything in the vid and really makes us focus on them in a new way.
