Lyrics
Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

I'm in the basement, you're in the sky

I'm in the basement, baby, drop on by

I'm in the basement, you're in the sky

I'm in the basement, baby, drop on by

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

I'm in the basement, you're in the sky

I'm in the basement, baby, drop on by

I'm in the basement, you're in the sky

I'm in the basement, baby, drop on by

Hold your breath and count to 10

Then fall apart and start again

Hold your breath and count to 10

Start again, start again

Hold your breath and count to 10

Then fall apart and start again

Start again, start again, start again...

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

Always stays the same, nothing ever changes

English Summer Rain seems to last for ages

Hold your breath and count to 10

Then fall apart and start again

Hold your breath and count to 10

Start again, start again

Hold your breath and count to 10

Then fall apart and start again

Hold your breath and count to 10

Start again, start again, start again...

This is fantastic -- there's a chill sense of foreboding right from the start, and it pays off so beautifully with how you've structured this.

Love the journey through horror ending with a glimmer of hope. Great job of capturing the movie!

Oh my fucking God. This is beautiful and amazing and I am literally sobbing right now. I asked for this before America blew up, and it's hitting me so hard I can't breathe.

Vidder, you are incredible. You made exactly what I dreamed, only better. I hate that I can't watch it again until things in the world get better (because I am getting through the days only by digging my nails in and holding on). When I can watch again, I swear I'll point out all the wonderful things I love, because there are many. Thank you for such an incredible vid. <3

This is so powerful, and really well made. You use the repetition in the music with such effectiveness, especially in the section starting at about 2:20, and I love the juxtapostion of "nothing ever changes" with things starting to go to hell at the one-minute mark.

HOLY CRAP THIS IS AMAZING. I've never seen the source, know nothing about it, so watching this vid was a rollercoaster. I thought I knew what it was about, but then the soldiers(?) showed up and wow that was unexpected and jarring and made it hurt in a very good effective way. And then the crops and the danger and I wasn't sure just how much to hope for, I didn't know how far they would get, or even if they would make it through. The ending was so lovely after all that.
