OH MY GOD, MY DEAR FESTIVIDDER! YOU'VE GIVEN ME A WONDERFUL GIFT, THIS VID IS EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE HOPED! The song choice is brilliant, just perfect for Monika! And you've put so much of what I mentioned in my letter into this vid, I don't even know how I deserve this.

I love that you showed how Rock n Roll gave Monika a purpose and a place to belong, and that this place is outside of what everyone expects her to be. You captured the joy she feels when dancing so well. ♥

It's really cool that you have Monika's mother in there as symbol of what Monika has to fight against, the contra side. To show that the path she choses is not easy nor worry free. But then you also manage to show the human side of the mother, making her more than a symbol, without distracting from Monika's story. It's really great how you managed that.

Oooh, I have not seen (or heard of!) the source, but I plan on looking it up after this! I just the title and summary and thought I'd give it a go, and I'm SO GLAD I did. What a fantastic vid! I love the energy of it and how her passion for dancing comes across. There were so many great little percussive moments, like her feet tapping in the bed and the champagne pop. The movement throughout is gorgeous. That transition from them dancing at the party(?) to her being flipped in the contest was stunning! Great work, I loved it :D
