Lyrics
Here I go, back again
Sliding off the ceiling
Was I gone for long?
Did I just flip the switch?

Across the street away from me
A man is singing ‘Sympathy for the Devil'
And he's getting all the words wrong.
His newspaper flies desperately
But words aren't wings; like gravity
They'll keep you here.
It's a theory to subscribe to
But you know you're being lied to

So keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear

Stay awake, the lines are drawn
You're never right until you're wrong
In the eyes of the world.
And a picture tells a thousand lies
Little dots in black and white
You've no idea
The strongest will survive
But it’s the scum that always rises

So keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear

And you talk just like a diplomat
But hide the gun behind your back
And leaders need a bloody war
Congratulations, this is yours
Looking through the history books
Of liars, cheats, and petty crooks

They'll print your picture clear
Print your picture clear
Keep your picture clear

So close another file
Of revolution turned to style
We're so tired of walking blind
Growing fat in hungry times
Keep your picture clear

Keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear
Keep your picture clear

I love this rather a lot, because I love the song and you've matched it perfectly to Newt and Hermann. I think I punched the air for Hannibal Chau to "the scum that always rises", and I love the instrumental match of that screaming guitar to the Drift. Awesome work!

Thank you so much!!

I love the focus on the scientists, and this song was great (I hadn't heard it before, but I could immediately see how well it fit!). I've watched this three times so far and I'm about to go watch it again :D :D

Yay Newt! As much as I love the Jaeger pilots, it's great to see a vid about the scientists :D I love the matching of the drift sequences with the guitar especially.

SCIENCE SQUEE!!!! All the drive and effort and hard work and risks to research and learn and find answers. AND OH that moment of clasped hands, "we're in this together" and how all that sacrifice was worth the cost and saved the day. I LOVE THIS VID!

I liked this very much! Especially the part with Hannibal Chau and "the scum that always rises" had me smile rather a lot :)

This was so neat, and I love the use of the lyrics to bring in characters and kaiju alike.

I adore the focus on the scientists for this. The tech team never gets celebrated in action movies, so it's great to see an actual arc playing out for them here. Terrific build.

I really liked this different point of view, the atmosphere/tone of it, and the moment in 2:08 when it picks up in intensity.

Always impressed when secondary characters get enough development to merit their own vid, and this one is spectacular.

Thank you so much! And the guitar riff is what made me choose this song -- it was so clearly Drifting with Kaiju in my head.
