Sea Lion Woman (Sea Lion)

She drank coffee (Sea Lion)

And the rooster crow (Sea Lion)

And he got no lie (Sea Lion)

Sea lion woman (Sea Lion)

She drank coffee (Sea Lion)

She drank tea (Sea Lion)

And gamble, lie (Sea Lion)

Sea lion woman (Sea Lion)

That was... I have no words. I obvs need to re-read, because there's so much I've forgotten, but this vid! Your choice of music was perfection, absolute perfection, and Lee is so damn brave, and I have feelings all over the place.

The sense of storytelling is so strong. I'm so glad to see more comics vids, especially in festivids. I found myself holding my breath at so many places. Well done.

Beautiful. I've only read part of the comic, so I don't know how much you were shifting from the original, but I was on the edge of my seat.

WOW, that was so unexpected and perfectly done. I was totally unfamiliar with this graphic novel and I'm so impressed with the clarity and pacing of this vid, the way the story flows like a comic come to life. Actual chills!

WOW! The song is perfect; I love your sense of movement--I felt propelled along on Lee's quest. (I haven't read "Bayou," but you made me really want to.)

I didn't know the source at all, but this was fascinating. The song choice is great, setting the mood for the story and driving it forwards through the percussion at the same time. I like how you create a sense of movement and narration through panel choice and rhythm - the beats on 1:07 and 1:53 were really dramatic for example, the escalation with the very fast cuts around 2:05, the moment of respite around 2:35 (loved the big sky panel in the middle), or when she breaks out of the water at the end, after that chilling fight.
