i know this movie is big name hollywood thing but the emotion it envoked in me are so personal and close. that i dont really know what to say.(i will try to say something anyway)
the first time i saw the movies i didnt know how to feel. i loved part of it: the aesthetic first and formost (the colours, the way time was not linear (you captured that so well in the vid too!), the use of symbols(the shoes,the colour red,the fish just to name a few) and layers of reality/story telling, story telling meta in general (why do we tell storys, hwo do we tell them)) some of the characters (the minnor characters most of all, the sons wife, the mother) and then there was something that only hurt me the son and his father. their relationship. the feeling that the son has to forgive him, just because he is his father and he will die and if he doesnt colosur it now he will regret it.
the father has faboulous storys thats true and maybe.of cause he loved his family but that is not always enough he gave me this feeling of distance (an arrogant and socialising that makes it so hard to say i am sorry. i was wrong and ask for something) and most of all of cause unreliablity.
i love other aspects to the ending: the way it says death is not the end in the everything is conected way. fitting with the story telling legacy theme of the movie. (also now i want to make something with the animal bride- trope but with the father as the fish that marrys)
sorry if this coment isnt very deep or helpful. but your vid is really wondefrful and i dont know how to put it into words.

you are right but on the other hand it makes me cry so much so i dont watch it a lot like some of my other fav movies.
