OMFG thank you so much! Wow, I'd have never guessed that song choice but you've done some deliciously sweet work with it. It's so wrong and right all at once!

Man, it looks fantastic. I'm seriously thrilled - you rock for making this!

I'm so glad you liked this! If I can be completely honest, you're one of my favorite vidders and I wanted to give something back. Also, I may have already wanted to make this exact vid and I was pleased that someone else was even aware of the source. There are many reasons for this vid.

I know you asked for arty and haunting and I'm not sure I matched either of those requests, but I'm not sure arty or haunting are in my vidding wheelhouse (yet). I chose instead to focus on the stunning images and telling what, in my mind, was the story of the film -- Shiro is in hell, Shiro is in hell from the first frame of the film to the very end, and Tamura is his doppleganger impish other self.

I was worried about this vid, honestly, because I was trying new things and that's always nerve-wracking. So, again, very happy you dug the vid.

Wow, your editing is stunning, and the music works with the starkness of what I'm seeing really well. I have no idea what the source is about, but it's giving me a strong sense of being like the film of What Dreams May Come.

Imagine if What Dreams May Come were a lot more ambiguous, slow moving, and gory. That's not quite Jigoku, but it's close enough.

Duuuuuuude.

I love how the editing makes this kind of wacky and fun even while the footage is totally freaky.

You know, I didn't think of it as wacky until you said that just now and I can't unsee it. Of course, I didn't see the song was dissonant either until folks pointed that out.

Wow, I love this! The combination of the song choice and the footage makes for a beautiful/crackedout/hilarious/ultimately strange vid. The jump cuts and uses of imagery were fabulous.

Thank you! It was a different sort of ballgame for me, making this vid, so I am very pleased it worked.

One of my betas rolled their eyes at me for that. I am not sorry for it at all! Thanks for the added validation!
