<3 This brought back all my favorite aspects of the film - so I've read some of the original comic books, but what I find unique about the film is how it's even more firmly entrenched in an angels-and-demons universe, like that of the film Dogma or the RPG In Nomine, and this vid played well into that. I also really like The Mountain Goats but don't know their full library of works, so this one was new to me. :)

This is one of the most perfect matches of song and source I have ever seen. John Darnielle's nasally punk rock voice fits the dark fantastic visuals wonderfully and and lyrics were basically tailor made for this story.Also the editing was really fantastic. This movie hits a lot of my favorite visual and narrative kinks and was really formative for me so this vid being so extremely well done is almost like a gift for me as well as the the very lucky recipient.
