I've watched it three times, now, and each time I think I'm going to be okay, but then I start getting water in my eyes. I'm not crying! You're crying!

It took me a few seconds into it to realize it's from Data's point of view, and I just adore that. I don't know why I was expecting it to be from Picard's, but I think it works much better from Data's, as it draws out the emotion of their bond so much better.

All the similarities! All the misunderstandings, yet with all that gentle patience! Such excellent editing and choice of clips. I love the song, and what you've done with it, especially with the repeated line of 'I was like you, and yes, you were like me'.

There's so much sweetness and good feeling in this vid. I'm going to be smiling for the rest of the day when I think about it!

Data and the relationship he had with Picard was always one of my favourite things about TNG and this vid sums up all the reasons why.

I grew up watching TNG, and I've always seen Picard as a kind of mentor for Data, a father figure, but your vid made me see their relationship in a different light. I really like the many parallels you drew between them and the way you framed their relationship on the more equal footing of friendship than I had previously interpreted it.

I've just been pointed at this by a friend as relevant to my interests, and aaaaah, goodness, I LOVE it. It was the bit where Picard is Borg and Data is communicating with him that really gave me chills.
