This is so beautiful, and it really does the movie justice. I particularly love how you synced up the clips of Adam playing instruments to the music.

Oh my God.

Vidder, this is *lush*.

Part of the reason I didn't vid it is because of how difficult I thought it would be to use relatively "inactive" and low key footage effectively without the right song.

Well, you found the right song and UGH that slow build...yes.

And I love how the mood glides from "poor sad brooding puppy" to sensuous, and then joyful...which is really fitting for basically the only Jim Jarmusch movie that isn't basically miserable :P

The use of meaningful objects to tell the story, the progression from faces, to hands to KISSES to walking/running/dancing.

Every time I watch it I notice something new.

:-) Yay, thank you! I'm so very glad you like it! I was really excited to get this as my assignment because it's such a gorgeous film, it's lovely footage to work with. The inactivity didn't actually cause me any issues - Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton both have such wonderfully expressive faces and hands, it was really fun to get to focus in on the nuances in their gestures.

Oh, beautiful. I love the initial contrasts between their lives, and the way you take so many little moments and gestures and make them big. I also thought the needle-drop on the turntable and the strike on the drumset were exquisitely handled. Both could so easily have fought your music choice, and yet neither did.

Oh my gosh, this is so stunning. From the very beginning, I knew I was in for something amazing--the first few clips are just masterfully fitted to the music. The entire vid feels so languorous, while still having this slow, weighty build to it. I loved it.
