Lyrics
Just wait, though wide he may roam

Always a hero comes home

He goes where no one has gone

But always a hero comes home

He knows of places unknown

But always a hero comes home

He goes where no one has gone

But always a hero comes home

Ahhh it's so gorgeous! I have SO MANY feelings about Diana and Hippolyta and Themyscira, and how they ground Diana through the hugeness of what she does (SO MANY, I can't even tell you), and here they all are in vid form! I am so happy you used this song! You can't know this (unless you do, suspicious anonymous festividder?) but this song is totally on my personal Diana fanmix playlist, because it gives me so many feelings about Diana and her epic hero journey and her HOME through all of that, especially given the gender-switch of vidding it for Diana. I've never heard this stripped down version, but it's so perfect. I love the delicateness of this, it's so quietly contemplative, and I love the juxtaposition of those feelings with the true epicness of Diana and Hippolyta, the lightning and swords and blood on the beach that birthed her and the huge tasks she has to take on.

It's beautiful, thank you so much!

Heeee, honestly I'm so pleased with how much you liked it! <3 I'm also cackling still with how hard I failed at sneaky here! I knew I really wanted to make a Festivid treat and looking at the list pretty soon I realised I wanted to make YOU a WONDER WOMAN treat (there was like a 5 minute pretence at even-handedness), and then I remembered this version of the song and the fact it was only one minute really helped, and here we are. I had so much fun making it and I'm so happy you liked it. <3

(FYI, both versions are from the recent 3D animated movie Beowulf. The one I told you about, which still needs to exist as a vid for Diana ALSO, is the end credits version, this is sung within the movie.)
