Lyrics
i wrote me a book

i hid the last page

i didn't even look

i think i locked it in a cage

wrote a novel

cause everybody likes to read a novel...

it started with a word,

and it started pretty well

about a rare and fragile bird that I couldn't even spell

on the table

i think i left it on the table...

i found the last page in the sky,

cold and sweet, like an apple

i found you and now the story has its proper end

oh hello,

will you be mine?

i haven't felt this alive in a long time

all the streets are warm today

i read the signs

i haven't been this in love in a long time

the sun is up, the sun will stay

all for the new day

the very last breath of the hero of our tale

would leave you only to guess

did he truly prevail

in the the sequel?

guess I'll have to write a sequel

my favorite part's when I die

in your arms like a movie

it's tragic but now the story has its proper end

oh hello,

will you be mine?

i haven't felt this alive in a long time

all the streets are warm and grey

i read the signs

I haven't been this in love in a long time

the sun is up the sun will stay

all for the new day

will you be mine?

the days are short and I wrote me my last rhyme

all the streets are warm today

I read the signs

I haven't been in this love in a long time

it's been a long time

oooooooooooh my gosh this is just BEAUTIFUL. I have SO MANY FEELINGS NOW ahsifajfAhfihaasfas. You've captured all the changing moods of the show, from the sublime to the ridiculous, and the way it builds up that crescendo of performances at the end - it made me feel more alive too. And the cutting is so graceful I don't know how you've done it, but it's wonderful. <3 Need to go and rewatch this show now.

Wow, this is such a beautiful escapsulation of the show and captures the women and their lives so well. Wonderful song choice that takes me right to the source again, it felt beautifully paced to let everything breathe and the dancing parts at the end overwhelmed me with feelings. I love this!

Oh my goooood, I've watched it twice now and I'm still overwhelmed with my feelings, I don't know what to say, this is WONDERFUL! I didn't know the song before but it's so perfect?! And like this sounds daft when it's a show about dancing but I love how *much* you've focused on the dancing and all the different things it means to them? Also there's so much BOO! I love Sasha, Fanny and Michelle too but Boo never gets as much of a look-in in vids and she's SO PRECIOUS! I love how you've shown all their relationships with each other, how did you fit so much show into 4 minutes?! Like your structure is SO GOOD, your editing is so good, your TIMING is so good, the way you vid dancing is so good, this is SO GOOD! (that feels like faint praise but omg! I am seriously so happy with this, thank you SO MUCH!)

Also as someone above said, the use of photographs! And I LOVE the ending with the kids surrounding Michelle and then the photo of the kids surrounding Fanny, ahhhh!! <333

Imma go watch it again a few more times now, and wallow in my dance and Bunheads feelings. <33333

Yaaaaay, thank you, I am chuffed that you liked it! Especially the song, I really wanted it to work the way it did in my head. And Boo, PRECIOUS BOO. I definitely worked in more of her because you love her, and making this and rewatching the show made me remember just how precious she is (SO PRECIOUS). It was great to revisit Bunheads, and editing their dancing is always awesome. Let us all wallow in our Bunheads feelings. <333333

PS SORRY I LIED.

I love this! I like how the music goes from an orchestra warming up to a full blown symphony, which is what you do with the dancing - from little movements to full out dance. And the theme of the book - the end of the first coinciding with the dance to mourn (I can't remember the dude's name!) and talk of the sequel with when MICHELLE MACED THEM IN THE FACE. (That episode did feel like the end of Act I and on to Act II)

And of course the best part is how feeling so alive goes with dance because as much other drama was going on in all the characters' lives, they did love dance and how it made them feel. <3

Oh, this is stunning. It makes me wish I've already seen the show so I could understand all the things. But even without knowing the show, there is so much depth and weight of emotion and wanting and giving, and not once did it occur to me that this dancing was never choreographed for this music.

This is gorgeously done! You captured the richness of the characters and their relationships in a way that made me remember all of what I loved about the show and made me so nostalgic for it. And you did a great job incorporating so many of the beautiful dance routines!

Really sweet! I don't know the source, but it was easy for me to follow along with the story, and I thought what you did exceptionally well was translate their love of dance to the audience. Also love the creative title slide image thingy up there!
