Oh my word, what a PERFECT song choice and wonderful theme for this vid! I loved all the ways you highlighted the bond between Wirt and Greg despite their differences and the ways they fight to help and protect each other in (and out of) the Unknown. Lots of wonderful clip choices here, but the "when we dance" at 1:20 especially put a big grin on my face. Really fantastic work and I will definitely be watching this one again!

Ahhh this is so wonderful!! I adore this show and the beautiful animation, and this song is so perfectly attuned to its blend of charming and creepy. Greg and Wirt! Beatrice! All the weird and wonderful inhabitants of the Unknown! Brilliant editing, there's so many little moments where you hit a beat that made me go yesss :D The creepy pumpkin guy on that pause is perfection. LOVE IT.

Whoa, did you sell your soul for such an oddly perfect song?

OMG THAT PUMPKIN HEAD TURN.

Love those credits.

This is glorious! I love the song choice and how perfectly you turn the vid from hilarious ("when we dance") to insanely creepy (so many mouths! the silent pumpkin head turn!), as well as the note of narrative uncertainty you strike that's really one of my favorite parts of the show. What next?? I love the attention to color, too. Thank you SO MUCH, vidder -- I'm going to be rewatching this a lot.

O_O I am charmed and frightened and amused all at once. Your comic timing is incredible.

This is SO GREAT! The song is perfect; I love how you highlight the bond between Wirt and Greg; I love the pumpkin dude with the tentacles and the frog on "when we dance" and how you end with Wirt saving Greg from drowning.

What a great vid! You conveyed the weird charming creepiness of the souce beautifully, and I loved the attention you gave to Wirt and Greg's relationship, the heart of the series. And awesome credits!

A small thing, but I loved what you did with the pumpkin carving in the silent moment toward the end of the vid. So effective and moody!

A morbid-yet-funny song for a morbid-yet-funny show! I loved the way the clipping speeded up as the song did, and the way you used the pauses in the music, and the beautiful title at the end that fit seamlessly with the vid! But most of all I loved the message, that Wirt and Greg won't let any monsters destroy their brotherhood. Great job!

Cute and creepy woven together - this was fund to watch even though I'm completely clueless as to the source. I might just have to check it out.

Ooh, I love this song choice. It sounds like it could have come out of the show itself. The dancing lyric and swinging back and forth of Wirt Jr./George Washington/Jason Funderburker/etc. made me laugh out loud. :)

I don't know the source at all, but this is so oddly charming, it's wonderful. I love the humour, the creepiness (the first instrumental part in particular is awesome, with the brass coming in on all the creepy imagery), and how you can't help but like these guys and their dogged determination.

Very creepy and fun, haunting and joyful is a strange combo to pull off but it is awesome here.
