I love the old school horror vibe of this mixed with West's music.

Whoa, it was mostly campy fun until that moment where you aligned the shot of his face wrapped / him getting mummified alive, and the muffled sound of the vocal in the song. Super creepy, and exquisitely put together!

I'm a little in love with this vid. It's beautiful and engaging and makes the unexpected song choice work so well. Like I said above, you had me hooked at the gauze wrapping timed with the muffling of the vocals.

Motion to include at least one vid with Boris Karloff in each round of Festivids.

After this and the amazing Black Cat vid I received in the 2012 Festivids, I'm definitely requesting some Karloff every year.

Kanye and Karloff, together as they were always meant to be! I love every single thing about this vid. EVERYTHING. I love the song choice, I love the skill in the cutting to the music. I love the way you interwove the 1922 scenes with the Ancient Egypt scenes, giving perfect context and creating this magnificent build. I knew incredible things were possible with this source, but I didn't dare to imagine THIS. *flails*

There will probably be more coherent comments later.

Oh wow. I really like how this vid evokes a mood of inevitability, like destiny is encircling them.

I just... this is just so fucking gorgeous. And it breaks my heart. Like, Im-ho-tep is a monster and he's creepy and he's fucked up, but he did it for love? I've never felt so deeply for him as I do watching this. But I also feel for Helen, caught by the gaze of the ages, a woman with her own agency turned to a love object by an ancient wizard.

Heart. Broken. Thanks a lot, Festividder.

(no, but seriously, you are amazing and I heart you)

Wow you did a fantastic job with the source here, and married the clips perfectly with the high notes as they came through the song.

Oh, wow. I've never seen The Mummy so I didn't really know what to expect, but as others have said, you completely had me when you combined the distorted vocals with the bandages being put over his face. Quite the visceral impact there and then it just kept on going. The song choice as a whole is fantastic, there's a relentless drive to it that makes the story even more intense. Beautiful vid.
