What a great character study. I love the pace of this - it feels like the old west of the movies, so much so I can almost hear laconic drawls and horses neighing as I watch.

Oh my god, thank you so much for this!!! I love the song choice and the way you use it to highlight the sharpness and drama and somewhat epic nature of this film, under all the comedy (not that the comedy is not there too, with some GREAT beats.) You've made me fall in love with this movie -- and with Sheriff Bart, and Cleavon Little's truly fantastic face! -- all over again.

This vid is so awesome! (I got to watch it with a friend who'd never seen Blazing Saddles before and her reaction totally killed me.) It's epic and dynamic and it distills so much of the canon's conflict and oomph into something visually amazing.
