Creepy and unexpected and funny and clever and really, this is all good things. <3 <3 I love the opening, with the screens flickering with the guitar, and how that's echoed changes in computer screens and data, almost like the pulse of a mechanical heartbeat.

I like your observation about the flickering screens - I hadn't noticed that, but maybe did subconsciously? Sometimes clips just feel right one way and only later does it make sense why.

"my dreams aren't as empty as my conscience seems to be" is a weirdly perfect line for Hal

This vid is SUCH a treat, I love it! Your editing is incredible -- right off the bat I knew the song would get me but you drew so much expressiveness out of this film's sometimes-sterile look (and, I mean... HAL's static-by-nature interface). It was the best balance of semi-morbid humor and all my bottomless HAL 9000 emotions coming out to play. (And the crew!) The end in particular is absolutely wicked and totally perfect.

If I did not thoroughly freak out enough when you showed this to us last week, LET ME DO IT AGAIN. This is so incredibly good, genius concept, and fantastic execution. Awesome use of the stark imagery of the movie, great editing, and I am not sure I've ever both laughed so hard and felt so creeped out simultaneously. And the end, the end is INSPIRED. Excellent job, and I've never love HAL so much, poor buddy.
