Huh. I hadn't noticed the scene at 2.28 being quite so erotic when it was in the film. This was wonderfully (surprisingly?) tender, without ever forgetting who she has fallen for and what he is/does.

Oh this is gorgeous! I love the song choice so much! The juxtaposition of the gore and the violence with Mrs Lovett's fantasy life and the soft romanticism of the music and lyrics is wonderful. And I love that you highlighted that even though Mrs Lovett doesn't actually kill anyone, she is entirely complicit in the murders and has her own darkness that Sweeney brings out. Fantastic!
