OMG OMG OMG that was TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL. Just stunningly made, and completely captured everything I adore about this film! I love how you used all the parallels (all the kisses!) and the way you really focused in on the way the tin passes back and forth between them, and the progression from the adorable beginning to the angsty middle to the joyful ending.

In short: I LOVE THIS. MERCI BEAUCOUP.

This is amazingly beautiful! I don't know the source but was totally drawn in anyway, and I love the motif of the box.

The film is about a game between the two. They get up to mischief because the other one dares them, and who has the box means whose turn it is. The pulling the tablecloth with the cake, the underwear on the outside, all part of the game. But they end up taking it too far and hurting each other. The two have absolutely no shame, and not really much fear, and a lot of stubbornness. Hence, Love me (if you dare).

This movie holds such a special place in my heart. I was almost afraid to watch this vid because I didn't know how I'd react to it emotionally. Thank you so much. You brought everything beautiful and fraught that I loved about this movie to light with great skill.

....see title. So, having watched this a millionty times already, I just, still, a;askhflj''akdls';kja;;laj;;akhf <------ pretty much what this vid reduces me to.

The song I love more every time. It's so heartfelt and perfect for this. The jump cutting to draw attention to their beautiful faces, and to the box, is used to wonderful effect with the strong beats in the music. The story arc of the vid reflects all the fragility and emotional highs and lows of the film, the way pain and pleasure so often go together in Sophie and Julien's lives (I loved the way you focussed in not just on the mischief of the children, but the consequences of it - the slaps from Julien's dad and Sophie's teacher - and then transformed that into Julien flying away into his fantasy world, as if the pain didn't matter when it was for Sophie, or perhaps showing just how far from reality the two of them lived...). I love the way the circle of children transform into the spinning tin, and the whole vid also comes full circle with the end, as the last section goes back to the pillow fight and the car kiss and a lot of the laughter and silliness they shared as children. I love the amazing editing - the box splashing into the water then being grabbed from the road is a particular favourite, not just because it's so well done but also because it really brings home how important the box and everything it represents is to them, and how they literally risk their lives for it, and can't bring themselves to be rid of it. And I really like the way you juxtapose scenes from Julien and Sophie's married lives. And and and.....

thank you :-)

The closeness of their relationship was so visible, and how central the box was to everything. Loved the editing too, the jump cuts were a really neat technique used well.

That was so beautiful and heart-breaking. I loved that very elegant transition from them as children to them as adults. The jump cuts were such very fierce editing and it worked very well to create emotional impact.

This is so awesome! I don't know the film, but I loved the turbulence of their relationship and the box being passed back and forth. *hearts*
