Date: 2012-01-21 09:41 pm (UTC)I love the nostalgic, wistful tone of this. I love the song you used which transports exactly that feeling. (I've toyed with the idea of vidding the film myself a few times but could never find a good song. This one? Is bloody perfect.) I love the friendship in this, particularly Chris's and Gordie's; I love the way you address Gordie's problems with his family and the death of his brother, and how seeing the dead child sort of...helps him to cope. I love the idea of the "dream", of adventure and of going somewhere, the idea of going on a quest, really. I love how this is sort of their last big adventure as kids before they move on. I love all the little things you included, like the car race and Gordie seeing the deer. I love the bit where Gordie's dad scowls at him followed by the bit of Gordie telling the other ones stories and making them laugh.
You tie the music and clips so wonderfully in this beautiful vid about friendship and childhood, about dreams and loss and really, thank you. This is all I could have ever asked of a Stand By Me vid, and more.
